We have used this port many times with other cruise lines. The port itself is great but norweigns on and off process is not as organized as other cruise lines we have experienced. We try and go a day or two early to visit the city, it is well worth the visit!

New Orleans was fun. Stayed at a great hotel in Decatur St. got to experience Bourbon St. It was fun departing out of the Mississippi River. Convenient access to the Port of New Orleans

I love NOLA. Our ship was rerouted to avoid Hurricane Irma so we did excursions in Cozumel and Grand Cayman. Missed Ochos Rios but did visit the town for a nice walk around. The excursion at Cozumel was to visit the Mayan Ruins and we had an excellent tour guide and a nice cool a/c bus. Our tour guide entertained us on the way and was schooled with lots of historical background on the ruins. We were also on a tour to visit Hell (town) and see the island. We enjoyed the bus tour and the short visit to Hell including sending ourselves post cards from ... The 'beach break' was not so great. Although it granted access to a beach area and included a bar and changing area, it didn't feel comfortable to us and we went back early to the ship.

We spent two days here just exploring on our own. It was hot and humid but oh so fun! I wish we had more time. There is so much to see and do. The port was easy to get thru and easy to get to thanks to our hotel. Of course we did a swamp tour and checked out bourbon street. Hurricanes (the drink not the storm) were a necessity. So glad we did this.

New Orleans was great. Food was awsome. People were friendly. Nighttime can be scary but we do it again in a heartbeat. The weather was good. So much to see and do. Ghost tour was good. Will return so much to do not enough time.
