Loved New Orleans. Spent two nights there earlier this year on a cross country road trip. Spent time in the French Quarter and on bourbon street. Loved seeing the old buildings and visiting the different shops and bars. Great food. Good drinks. No problems walking around as a single female. Just be aware of your surroundings. Took a swamp tour to see alligators in the wild, and would highly recommend it. I was also able to hold a baby gator! Can’t wait to return next year for my cruise!

We were in New Orleans for the weekend before Fat Tuesday. We enjoyed a couple of parades and had wonderful food. We walked from the port to Lowe's hotel. The people were all very nice and as long as we stayed out of the French Quarter at night it was very family friendly.

New Orleans was fun. We stayed at Bienville House the night before we cruised out which was fantastic and did the whole Bourbon Street experience and of course for beignets!

second time we have used this port. It was faster getting on the ship this time than it was the first time. Great Port.

We stayed 3 days before the cruise. We did a walking tour with Witches Brews tours and a cemetery tour through Bloody Mary’s Haunted Museum. Definitely recommend both!

Loved New Orleans! Beautiful city minus the con men who try to “shine your shoes for the kids”

The night before the cruise, we went to the French Quarter, and quite honestly I was a little disappointed. It was overly touristy, and I payed just as much to park for 2 hours as I did for my gourmet restaurant meal. It may be less crowded in the daytime, not sure. We did eat at a restaurant called Deja Vu where we experienced delicious New Orleans/creole style food; we had no regrets about this! It was fabulous dinner in a beautiful open atmosphere.
