I really enjoyed the trip down the river on the way out. And a great port if you get there the night before to hang out at.

Fast and easy parking at Carnival embarkation point. New Orleans is a fun city. French Quarters are packed as always, but doable.

Came in two days early to take tours, Used Tours By Isabell, They were great, took the city tour and the Plantation/Oak Alley tour. Both I would recommend if you want a good overall understanding of New Orleans, we want to come back to see more and the food is great in this city.

This port is always quick and organized. We are always on board in the timeframe selected. I will say that my husband had a bullet in his luggage and we were called over the intercom, had to walk off the ship all the way back to the port just so they could question us about one bullet. It was an hour long ordeal. Fyi...double check your luggage
