Went to Mare instead - lovely snorkeling, We had to pay for a bus to the swimming beach but it was worth it. However it is $15 US for one return trip only. There is food and drink at the beach.

Apparently this port is not frequently visited by Princess Cruises and knowing this now we understand the rationale for this. The excursion group was too large, hence we were split into three vehicles, a coach bus and two smaller mini buses. Having been directed to a more n bus we found that the drive spike no English and consequently there was no narration of tour highlights. Arriving at our first stop we lead down paths towards what we believed was a working vanilla plantation, but all we got to see was two vines growing on tree stump. We all rebounded well he bus for our next stop at Jokin Cliffs. Once off board we were lead to the pavilion and offered a vine crown, a drink and fresh fruit. The view from this vantage point was spectacular but any other discovery was left to the individual to enjoy. Following about a 45 minute stop we headed back to the jetty to board the tender for the Golden Princess. A very disappointing excursion which was relayed back to the excursion director as feedback.

This was an interesting little village with a nice beach right at the port. We found that everything was way over priced. You were able to barter and I would recommend that, for sure.

Loved the walk to the caves and back. Great scenery and the kids enjoyed the jump into the cave. If don’t look for something to do prior arrival, you’ll miss out on a beautiful day.

Weather may have played a part in this rating . Tour was not really worth it - got a good ride to other side of island but dont expect any commentary or chatter as the driver we had did not speak english. Luecila beach was disappointing as we could not swim due to black algae so we were given a stop at the supermarket - non eventful. Was not worth the $40 pp . Better off staying at the beach close to tender and enjoy the water there.
