We teamed up with an Australian couple and rented a car. This allowed us to go to the highest point on the island and basically see everything there was to see in about three hours. Total cost for the excursion for four: $85 US, including petrol. Nobody checked for a driver's license, which is good, because they were all on the ship.

Most beautiful spot of the cruise. Archeology trip to burial site not so great, but take the shuttle bus to the farthest beach. There is a restaurant with a band, facilities, the most beautiful beach ever, and water you can walk out into for half a mile. We could have stayed here. Spend the whole day!

Even though I didn’t get to go ashore (in quarantine due to COVID) my hubby went out and hiked around the island. He took beau pictures and found a lovely resort at the end of the road. It was a beautiful view from the ship.
