Neat little city to explore. I recommend the Akaroa Dolphin excursion - Hector dolphins, seals, and more. The day we were there a booth was set up to stamp passports.

This port was a quaint little town and there are your options as soon as you get off the ship. The area is subject to quick changes in the weather...We had planned to go on the jet boats but because and weather was coming they canceled all tours on the jet boat.

The port was beautiful. The drive to Christchurch was so picturesque. I which he had more time at this port. Please extend the port time is possible, especially since this is a where tender is needed. We were whisked off our tour bus and on to the tender back to the ship.

a quaint small port. We did a boat tour of the bay. We saw dolphins, blue penguins, and seals. We also walked around town and went into the old lighthouse, visited some of the shops and ate fish and chips at a local restaurant.

We had booked transportation to Christchurch; 11/2 trip through beautiful country. Our driver narrated throughout the trip. Saw the results of the earthquake -some reconstructed buildings but some still in the works, did our own walking tour. Had lunch at Fiddlesticks -very good. Returned to Akaroa and walked around the town. Very cute beach town.
