Not much going on around the terminal. They are almost done building a beautiful mall-like terminal area, which is going to be a nice addition. However, besides a small market area near the terminal there is not much to do and it quickly becomes “scary”and run down. This port had by far the worst and pushiest tour guides and taxi drivers - it was off putting for many people, and many cruisers just turned around and went right back onto the ship. I’m sure tours to the canal/locks are stunning but we decided against that as we have seen them before on a canal cruise.

Fantastic! We went through the lochs and were in the pacific ocean. We were late getting back to the ship but it was well worth it. The cruise ship waited for us since we were on a ship excursion.

We only had enough time to go off the boat, walk through the mall, take a picture and go back to boat. It was a total waste of our time to even get off the boat.

Not much to do in the port aside limited shopping, excursion were limited to observation of the canal's lock which was the mail purpose of the canal transit, not exciting

We had been here several years ago and was skeptical of this port. We actually were not going to get off the ship. Glad we did. They have done a great job of cleaning up the area and building a new port area they can be proud of. While we didn't leave the port area, spoke to people who did and said they felt safe. This was not the case the last time we were there. If we were to go back I would take a tour. We have seen the locks so I would do something else.

Getting to see the new locks from the viewing perspective was a treat because we had seen them from the ship perspective on the NCL Bliss in February. Also visited a native tribe community -- very nice.

We enjoyed seeing the new lock, the boat ride on Lake Gate, and visiting the native people's village.

Due to the timing we only went into the Port area and it is terrible! Maybe further afield would be okay.

We were late getting into this port and was not willing to go ashore and then wait in line with excursion people to reboard.
