In a city that I never tire of visiting, I always spend a few days before cruise departures. If your ship Departs from the Ocean Terminal (near the Star Ferry in Kowloon), try staying at the Hongkong Hotel, directly across the street. Although you must walk through the Ocean Terminal Mall to reach the ship from the hotel, concierge will supply bellperson to take your luggage and guide you to the ship. Service is free and bellpersons seem reluctant, but grateful, to accept tips.

Pre tour was awful and very over priced compared to Beijing post tour. Hong Kong was enjoyable.

We flew into Hong Kong the evening before the cruise. I love Hong Kong. It is vibrant and full of hustle and bustle.
