Very expensive city and extremely commercialized. We spent two days here before the cruise and four days afterwards. We purchased a four day ticket pass for the Hop on Hop Off bus. We were able to see many interesting places as they have six lines. The blue line was the best as it took you out of the city for some incredible views. As our hotel was near Waikiki Beach and shopping areas, we were able to walk to most places. Be sure to eat at Duke’s and Tommy Bahama. Excellent food!

Upon returning to Oahu at the end of the cruise, we rented a car and made our own excursion so we could see exactly what we wanted.

We arrived by air the day before our cruise departure and stayed in a hotel. We enjoyed a local luau and visiting the Pearl Harbor museum and displays.

Honolulu is beautiful. Visited Waikiki Beach / shopping area and toured Pearl Harbor. USS Arizona Memorial was closed so it was disappointing not to see that during our tour. Due to coast guard security check, it was odd to embark but not sail away the same day.

Easily walkable city. Visit the palace grounds, it’s beautiful. The downtown area has lots of old buildings. Rain showers come and go. Take a ride to the windward side of the island for amazing beaches and views.

We took the precruise package and toured all over the island for three days. We could have done away with the third day of touring, it was not great. The first two were good.
