We did a helicopter ride over the volcanoes (the one that just went off). It was great and a new experience for both my husband and myself. The port had nothing to offer.

We did a tour to go to volcano national park, lava tubes. Wish we had rented a car here so it would of given us more time here.

Again, discount Hawaii car rental and Jeep on over to Volcano National Park. Get the Gypsy guide app for the Big Island and it will direct you to all the must see areas. I suggest going to the Punaluu Beach Park first to see the black sand and sea turtles and then make your way to the Volcanos.

Blue Hawaiian helicopter tour Volcano National Park & Rain Forest, Waterfalls. Wow we really enjoy our tour. had nice lunch local restaurants. 😎😎

my first ever negative review. For future cruisers on Princess line the excursion 205a is not worth the money. The falls are great but only cost $1 to go on your own. The zoo is free admission on your own and the macadamia nut “tour” is glancing thru 4 windows and a store. It was a very expensive bus ride at $80 each. All three were ok stops but the price to get there was too much. We learned there is a hoppa on, hoppa off option for only $20 each at the pier for next time.

All islands are absolutely beautiful! We went on a walking tour of the rainforest and saw some beautiful water falls and I even went swimming in one of the ponds. The water was very cool but refreshing!

Loved Hilo, booked a excursion to visit the National Volcano Park. Our tour guide was awesome! Our tour group was small which made it nice. The tour guide (Kirk) made the excursion excellent, knowledgeable and very personable was not bored on this tour.

If you are wanting to explore on your own use the Hoppa On, Hoppa Off bus. It is about $20 and you get a great tour of some of the sights. Bring your swimsuit and get off at Black Sand Beach. Some great snorkeling and relaxation.
