Very walkable port. There are restaurants, shops and museums as soon as you exit the cruise terminal. Beyond that, you can wander the city. There are ancient streets and plazas with shops and cafes around every corner. We visited the 15th century moorish palace and fort. We opted to walk to the fort bs. Take the bus. It’s quite a hike and sometimes rather steep. The fact that the sidewalk has switchbacks should give you a clue. Easily doable for a reasonably fit person in proper shoes. Anyone else: I recommend the bus! :) Perks of the walk: amazing views as you climb over the city. You get to look down inside the bullfighting ring. Think about the cruise buffet calories you’re burning! Pro tip: if you plan to visit the palace and fort, bring your ear buds. There is a guided audio tour you can use with your phone.

This was a nice and modern port to visit. There were many restaurants and shops within walking distance of the pier. We took the provided shuttle for €5 each to the city and enjoyed the clean and comfortable streets of the city center. We ate an amazing ham and cheese tray followed by paella. We also enjoyed their local wine and beer. We chose to walk back to see the shops along the way. It may have been a 20-30 minutes slow walk. Along the way was a beach that we didn’t visit since we traveled in the cooler season. It was only a few minutes from the ship. This may be worth checking into during warmer times.

Malaga was warm and beautiful. We walked from the dock into town & then had a walk through to see what we could see. We visited the Picasso museum which was interesting as it had a Jackson pollock display as well.

Absolutely love this port. I come back most years and look forward to it. I don't go out sight seeing but lay on the beach instead. Would definitely recommend the beach if you like it. For a few euros you can use two sun beds with a sun umbrella for the day. The beach is lovely itself- sandy.

Great port. Very clean city. We went to the Picasso museum. Walked around and admired the sites. We also we went to the large cathedral, very ornate, large and beautiful.
