We had a wonderful tour to Omaha Beach and the American Cemetery which we would suggest is a must-see if not done before. The tour was an all day affair so we didn't see anything of Cherbourg so online reviews we'd read prior to leaving didn't make it sound too interesting.

Didn't have a tour as the wine tour was closed on Sundays, so our tour was canceled. We took a small tourist train at de Gaulle plaza which gave us the lay of the land. We had a good time walking through neighborhoods and window shopping (many shops were closed). Met some friendly locals who helped us locate an open bakery so we could buy some macrons.

Pretty town and few shops. Stoped for a coffee and cake which was lovely and not over priced. Not much to do if you don’t venture out of town. Ok but wouldn’t go back especially.

Rented a car and drove to Normandy beaches and landing sites; Ste. Mere Eglise town was good to see, but not enough time to see everything -- just saw beaches and Point du Hoc. Beaches were disappointing---plain beaches with homes built across the road, scarring the importance of the area.
