Very easy to walk around, quite flat other than the peninsular opposite the cruise terminal, but it's not too tricky with moderate activity. The Petroleum Museum is a great visit as well to learn all about the industry with a play area and activities for kids also.

TIME SPEND HERE WAS WAY TOO SHORT. The ship arrived at 7:00 and left at 1:00pm. bearly we had time to book on our own a tour to the fjords and to see Pulpit Rock from the water. The included tour was a walk around the pier and to see the Oil Museum, not what we expected.

Walk off and look around the cobbled streets so pretty and colourful

Usually the ship dock in Stavanger itself. This time in Sandess (1 town further in the fjord). Stavanger is awesome, as you dock in city centre. When you dock in Sandess, HAL provides a paid shuttle to Stavanger. I would recommend to book a tour, or take a taxi to Stavanger.

LovelytTown but the Hop-On-Off Bus was just too expensive to use!

Delightful town with plenty of shopping but we had no time provided to shop. The Oil Museum was a waste of time that I would have preferred to use as free time.
