What a nice port. It is overshadowed somewhat by Amsterdam & the ship did not offer any sightseeing excursions in Rotterdam itself. So, we toured independently. We walked along the waterfront to visit the ss. Rotterdam now a hotel, restaurant and attraction. I bought several items in the gift shop. After lunch, we took the complimentary shuttle into town and explored the iconic Cube Houses, the Old Harbor, the Lawrence Cathedral & the nearby huge inside Market Hall. Plan to spend some time in the wonderful city.

It is a fantastic port. There are Lots of things to do in the local area. It's also very runner friendly. We took a run to the Cube Houses and then looped around the white and red bridges.

Totally enjoyed Rotterdam. We did the Kinderdijk excursion which was interesting. I loved seeing the windmills and being able to go inside one and see the workings and how the people lived. Interesting, too, learning how the windmills work with the nearby plant. Not too long of a drive to and from which left time to explore. Unfortunately, the city center is too far to walk and we didn't have time to take the shuttle. We walked a long way though, had lunch and just enjoyed the river.

My grand daughter & I took the excursion to Amsterdam which included a canal ride and three course luncheon which was fantastic. Loved the atmosphere of the restaurant and the food. The weather was interesting as we experience rain, hail and sunshine all in the same day and still enjoyed out day.

Nice port in the city center. You can take some stunning pictures here. There is a shuttle Wich takes you to the market Hall and central station for free.
