We did an excursion with a private company. Went to the Acropolis and the Plaka district. It was the day of their annual marathon and the city was very busy. The Acropolis was amazing and the views from the top are very nice. Athens was okay but I do not feel the need to revisit.

Somewhat disappointed. Acropolis was great. City itself very dirty!

A little dirty, but the ruins are incredible. Take a hop on, hop off bus and see the city in a few hours.

Loved Athens! Take the "Hop On, Hop Off" Red bus. For 20 euros a person, you see the entire city, get to explore and are given details of what you're looking at and all the history.

Only a quick hop to the plane--for a noon flight --easy transport by Seabourn to the airport--The driver could have dropped us closer to our check in desk but that`s my only complaint---

Had a great time but again Acropolis was PACKED with people, almost impossible to climb up stairs.

Athens is truly magical and a great way to end the cruise. Spend a few days to explore. We stayed at The Athens Gate which was perfectly located between the Acropolis and the Temple of Zeus. Just around the corner is the Plaka, a great place to explore at night. The city is very safe.

Parthenon was under construction and very crowded, but that was to be expected. Overall city is crowded and dirty. We got dropped off at the Plaka for shopping and eating which was very enjoyable. People were very friendly and accommodating.
