Hired a taxi driver for 160 Euro to take the four of us to all the sites-he waited for us and let us visit each site as long as we wanted- way better than a tour!

We did the trip to Corinth Canal. Needed to do shore tour as it was about 90 minutes away. Interesting to see the canal and go up and down it (takes about 60 mins). You then visiit a coffee/souvenir shop for 45 minutes before back to the ship. Boring and not worth the money.

This is where Athens is on the tour. I will never go there again. It was too overcrowded. There was garbage all of the streets. The Acropolis was incredibly crowed and hot. Glad I went, but never again. The Plaka was nice to walk around and had a great meal there.

Only really worth going ashore if you want to taxi, bus or coach trip to Athens. Nothing much of interest in Piraeus itself. The old twon of Athens is worth a visit - look for the wine tasting bar!

Disembark as early as possible. All Shore excursions are super expensive. Instead, take a cab from outside the port, We negotiated full day for EUR140 (5 pax). It was a great way to see a lot of places in a short time. Plus we had time for a nice Greek lunch and some shopping in the old town.
