WE SAW THE ACROPOLIS AND LATER WE WENT TO THE SHOPPING AREA. THE SHOPPING IS THE CHEAPEST IN THE MAIN DOWNTOWN SHOPPING AREA. SAVE YOUR SHOPPING FOR THAT PLACE. THE TOUR ONLY GIVES YOU AN HOUR THERE WHICH IS NOT ENOUGH. IT SHOULD BE TWO HOURS. DO NOT SHOP AT THE SHOPS AT THE FOOT OF THE ACROPOLIS, THEY ARE LIKE DOUBLE THE PRICE.

Athens is a bit dirty and has lots of graffiti. I guess that is to be expected with 26% unemployment

We did the included city tour. They mentioned a lot about visiting the government palace and the change of the guards that we thought they were going to at least stop to see it, but we were wrong we drove very fast in front of it. If you mention something as being important at least stop so people can appreciate it. Otherwise don’t mention it.

Took a private tour and had a great time. Be sure to visit the Acropolis Museum. Gives you a chance to see the intricacies of the Acropolis up close and personal since you can no longer get close to the buildings. The changing of the guard was very interesting as well.

We were travelled by metro to the centre to Plaka, then climbed up to the Acropolis. Wonderful views - lot of people :-)

Great city. Lots to do. Acropolis was over crowded but rest of city was very nice. Lots of neat neighborhoods.
