We thought about taking train to Florence on our own but opted not to. Glad we didn’t since there was a strike in Florence and trains were not running to it. Did Florence on your own as offered in this app. The one offered by the cruiseline was full and more expensive anyway. Took shuttle to town center and rep was there. On the way back got dropped off at the port. Weather was great and did some shopping. Been to Florence before so did not enter any of the historical sites

Good tour to Florence and Pisa available from shuttle bus drop-off 38 euros per person better than 100 dollars+ ship price. knowledgeable guide get you back to ship in ample time. Both available as single destinations also.

Breath-taking Florence ! The art, the cathedrals, outstanding. I saw Galileo's and Michelangelo's resting place along with the most beautiful art work and sculptures ! Tremendous tour. You can't see Italy without seeing Florence !
