Livorno (Florence & Pisa), Italy Port Reviews

Excursion Hop on Hop Off great. We took a taxi to the train station first and checked out the leaning tower of Pisa on our own. Four of us paid c. 14 euros for the train. Walked to the Hop on Hop Off after our return from Pisa. Long walk - good day.

This was great with two days in the port. Have us ample time for visiting key sites.

First day we could. Or dock from severe weather. Second day was ok

We did “Let’s take a Selfie, Florence and Pisa”. I definitely recommend doing an excursion at this port, Livorno is not very accessible for tourism and Florence/Pisa are about an hour outside of the port. We loved this excursion, it brought us to all of the highlights! And our tour guides, Alessandro and Bianca were fantastic, very knowledgeable!

Note this port is 90 minutes plus from Florence and any tour taken is a rushed introduction around the town centre only. If you do a combined Florence/Pisa tour, you will find that you have very little time at Pisa. It's a little disappointing!

Very Heavy Rain. Excursion was impacted. Guide was only ok.

Did our own thing that day. Would have nice if we knew ahead of time about the shuttle to the center of town. We got our own cab to the train station and headed to Pisa on our own. Then ventured further on to Lucca. Great day! (not enough time to do Florence any justice, plus we spent 2 days prior on our own)

tour was great but was supposed to include Florence and they did not take us there.

Took the hop on hop off bus around the city, it was lovely
