Livorno (Florence & Pisa), Italy Port Reviews

We took an excursion to Pisa. It was amazing to see Leaning Tower, Baptistery and Duomo. We had a lot of fun walking around the Field of Miracles. I had expected it to be much busier/crowded than what it was. This was a pleasant surprise.

Too crowded in Florence. Pisa was awesome!

We did a tour of Florence and Pisa and it was great.

It is a 1.5 hour drive to Florence, but the city is beautiful to tour. We toured the city and saw the original David.

Great excursion, loved the sights and cities AND the food.

Took our only excursion here. Florence is tough if you have any disabilities, it’s very uneven walking.

We loose a lot of time with the bus!!!

Love Florence! However, We paid for an excursion through the ship. It was canceled and we were not alerted. We had to plan the whole day at the last minute and did not see what we came to see.

The port doesn't allow you to walk into the city so you must take a shuttle. Shuttle buses were provide...BUT AT A COST. Long lines to wait for the shuttle! Imagine that: the port holds you captive as everyone who wants/needs to go into the city to catch the train to Florence or Pisa had to pay 5 Euros/person to catch the shuttle, AFTER you waited in line for about 1 hour. Plan to leave ship early to have enough time to go to Florence and Pisa if you are doing public transportation. Train ride from Florence back to Livorno was about 1.5 hours. Train ride from Livorno to Pisa was about .5 hours.

Rushed to make on the spot excursions bookings. Didn't regret the changes made
