They just dropped us off in Pisa for free time - no guide, no history.

Since we had already been to Pisa and Florence, we decided to do an excursion to Sinca Terre. It was a very long drive, and the tour guide was a little boring, but Sinca Terre was amazingly beautiful. I wish we had more time to see all of the villages, but there was only time for two of them.

The only reason to get off at this port is because Florence and Pisa are nearby. Livorno is an industrial port with very few things to see nearby, very degraded and poorly maintained area.

Best pizza in Pisa is at Quarto D'Ora Italiano Train ride from Livorno - full day and back to ship.

We rented a car here and it was great since it was available right on the dock getting off the ship. Drove to Lucca and Pisa. Rented bikes in Lucca and had a great day.

loved these cities, but be weary of the over zealous street vendors.
