Yes, we took a Shore Excursion with Royal Carribean for this one, and fortunately, our guide took us to Pisa first in the morning before it got too hot, then a in Florence a walking tour with a lunch included. I worked out very well.

Walking tour through the old city and wine tasting at a castle tour. Suzanna was a great tour guide and gave us very reliable places to go to - places wouldn't overcharge and quality was excellent. We had a lot of history then were given a demo at one of the leather and gold shops. The restaurant that was recommended in Piazza Santa Croce was excellent - BEST ever lasagna. Ristorante Boccadama is a must when visiting. Castello del Trebbio is a 35 minute ride out of the city and gave us an intimate tour of the castle as well as information on olive oil that they make and later instruction on wine tasting. The little gift shop was packed with wines and olive oils as well as olive oil products. Definitely visiting again!

Have done the Pisa and Florence on your own excursion. It was a long day but well worth it. Florence is stunning and full of history. The drive around Tuscany is very scenic

We booked only the transfer and did our own thing. Be well prepared if you do this. I had made a reservation at the Accademia to see the David before we left home. You must do this if you are planning to see it or the Uffizi. Otherwise the lines are too long. Our guide gave us an excellent map that included suggestions of what can be covered in the 5 hours you have.

We did the Pisa Tower Climb. Since the tower itself is limited to how many can climb it, in-turn the tour was limited to how many were on it. Therefore, I think only 26 were on the tour and it was perfect. I do wish we would have had more time in Pisa. But the climb was worth it.

Because this is an active commercial port there is a mandatory 5 Euro per person round trip shuttle ride into the city. Since I had already been to Florence (a 2 hour drive from port) and Pisa (30 minutes away) we elected to go into town. We had pasta and wine at an outdoor cafe' then walked through the open air market.
