Not what I expected. Never saw a single blue dome. Took the cable car after a long wait. At the top of the mountain, streets are very narrow, lined with small shops, and jam packed with tourists.

Stayed at port. Had a coffee and waited on family returning from the top of the hill. Their photos looked great.

Definitely need to take an organized tour to get to the famous view with the blue domes. However, if you cannnot get one, the town at top (accessible by funicular or 600+ steps along or by donkey) is equally cute and picturesque.

Beautiful but busy/touristy

Did not have the chance to come out due to delays/port traffic. I heard people were stuck and fighting ashore on the pier to come back.

Lines to long after having to tender to shore ... if you already have to tender then boats should already arrive on the nice side of Santorini

Took a Norwegian excursion which left us in the middle of the mountain, with the ONLY way back to the ship being to climb the rest of the mountain to the cable car, It took a combined 2 hours just to get to the cable car! NEVER AGAIN.
