The line to take the cable cars up to the top had a very long line and wait. Our excursion was interesting to see the countryside. We had a little time to shop too which was nice, and catch a bite to eat before returning to the ship.

Five cruise ships in port. 12,000 people trying to get up the cable car. Not worth spending the money and time. Cruises shouldn’t be allowed to fill up an island like that. Poor planning from NCL.

The hike up to the top (the city) was very strenuous and hazardous because of the poorly managed donkeys sharing (or not sharing) the same little trail. After that hike, where were all the pretty little white houses with blue trim like you see on all the ads? Nowhere! It was all shops and restaurants. What a rip!

Santorini is pretty, but on both occasions I have visited here, it has been shoulder to shoulder cruisers vying for space. Unfortunately, this distracts from the experience.

This is an extremely busy port and the logistics to getting around is very difficult. Too many people, too long lines for every method of getting around. The island is beautiful though.
