Santorini is breathtakingly beautiful, one great view after another. Easily walkable path along the beautiful coast overlooking the Calderra. Had lunch at Remvi and would highly recommend for the view, food and service. Took the fenicular up, but coming down was another story. There were three ships in port and everybody was lined up to get down. Line up was long and under the hot sun, so decided to walk the steps down. We had to compete with the donkeys and get around their dunk and some of the steps are slippery, if you choose this way down be very careful!

Was totally disappointed in Santorini. All the hype and buildup and it simply doesn’t live up to it. Would advise against any exclusion just get the boat to take you to Oia Village and walk it yourself

Took the included tour and this takes you to Oia which is really what I was looking to see anyway... no need to pay for other excursions.

Did not do excursion. Just walked around the city. Really nice place to visit; great views. Ate lunch at great little Restaurant with spectacular view.

After tendering to shore, take a water taxi to Oia. That should avoid long lines for the gondola. You can work your way back to Fira from there via shuttle buses.

We really enjoyed the beautiful island of Santorini in Greece. It’s a tourist island with fun shops and places to eat. It is built on the top of a mountain, so to get to the town you must either walk up 587 cobblestone steps (with about 3’ of flat between steps), ride a donkey (no lie) or take the tram. My wife is allergic to animal hair, so the donkey was out 😂. It was so hot outside, so we waited in line for 90 minutes to ride the tram. Beautiful views of the ocean from the top. We decided to brave it and walk down. Not too bad, but so so hot.

Loved Santorini! There were 4 of us traveling together and we prebooked a cruise with Kostas Sakavaros, "Santorini Al la Carte". He was great. Very professional, personable and knowledgeable. He showed us every thing we wanted and took our photos. The island was fabulous and very scenic. Would highly recommend this tour.

Giving 5 stars to the port itself. I booked an excursion through a company via this app and they never showed. Waited from 815-10 and finally gave up and bought the transfer to Oia by boat sold at the port. The transfer was nice, 10 mins by speedboat to the other side, then bus to Fira. Walked around the town and made it to Oia. This port was crowded (Oia) but worth seeing and experiencing. Didn’t get to the winery since my tour i originally bought included that I wasn’t prepared to find it on my own and wasn’t sure how much I could do with the short time we had since I wasted so much waiting for a guide to show up. Other than that, we had great food- spinach pie and focaccia overlooking the cliffs of Oia. Made it down in time to walk down. Wasn’t going to wait in long cable car ride ( wouldn’t have taken it even it was short-afraid of heights) wall was ok. Slippery steps, so you have to allow time to walk down carefully. I think even going slow and taking videos and pictures it was 30 mins- less than waiting in line in the heat. I didn’t do any shopping in Santorini. Same as Mykonos for the most part but over priced. Food was more expensive-think because of the views. But to be expected. Again, the last bus to Fira to get down from Oia was a nightmare. If you buy this excursion at the port-DO NOT WAIT TO GET ON THE LAST BUST BACK!! People pushed and shoved even if there was a line of people waiting for 30 mins, you would be cut off and pushed out of the way. We learned from Malta you have to be a bit pushy back or you won’t get on. This and my tour guide not showing up were the only two frustrations.

Do tour via P&O, if you do the wine tasting tour you end up at the top then you come done via the cable car.

Santorini is beautiful, but the crowds were overwhelming. The process of returning to the ship was challenging and involved long lines. Give yourself plenty of time to return to the ship.
