Tender ports should be avoided. NCL could not organise the tenders from shore to ship. They put an effort into disembarkation but could care less about the chaos, queue jumping etc that went on at dockside for the return,

Although this was our shortest and busiest stop, we still had such a nice time. Santorini is beautiful. Rode the donkeys up the steps (shorter wait than the cable car and only 5 euros). Bought almost all my souvenirs at this port as well as a little blue opal ring.

Island itself is great. Did not enjoy ruins of Akrotoni. Pompei in Italy is by far a better ruins tour.

We thought this was going to be THE highlight of our cruise. It was not but no fault of the RCCL. Santorini is beautiful but way too crowded.

The city is beautiful. Food was amazing. 2 other cruise ships were in port with us so the cable car was crowded on the way back. Otherwise plenty to do away from the crowds.

Gorgeous natural beauty but overly touristed. Everything required lining up for like an hour and that takes away from the enjoyment of the stop. I realize they are working on ways to improve the port experience by having fewer ships visit but plan accordingly. Booking a tour that picks you up by boat is ideal. The cable car line is atrocious in both directions. You cannot purchase a round trip ticket either because there is a very short time limit as to when you can take the return trip before your ticket expires.
