We didn't find a need to book a pre-planned excursion. You can literally walk out of the port and find dozens of places to see and things to do, including walking through the old town, strolling along the waterfront, and booking any short boat or submarine trips on the spot. Rhodes has also got some great beaches if you have the time.

No trip as we had previously visited for a week. We walked a lot, especially around the old town and enjoyed a drink or two. The Palace of The Knights Templar is well worth visiting.

We went to a beach which was wonderful and then came back and toured the town on our own. Felt like this was really the best of both worlds. The marketplace was amazing and welcoming along with clean--there was a lot to see and do and would recommend.
