The ruins of Ephesus were wonderful. If you're into biblical history it was fascinating to see where Paul preached to the Ephesians. They claimed Mary (Jesus' mother) was buried there. That's debatable. The architectural history there was phenomenal.

The waste of time would have to be after our tour, the guide took us to a rug store when we could have had done valuable shopping time else where. The rug store wanted to make us buy rugs/carpets that were too much. Definitely shop at Beril Jewelry.

Certainly lots of shopping but didnt' find the prices that great and HATED the intense pressure of the merchants as you walked by. Did not go to Ephesus but enjoyed a walk around the city...

I didn't care for Ephesus, tired of seeing ruins and the crowds were too much. Took a private tour and enjoyed a rug factory and just learing some customs.

Efasus was one of best archaelogical sites on entire cruise. Bazaar at port was disappointing, due to overly aggressive shop owners who refused to allow you to enjoy the market and various wares.
