Having family in San Juan, we did not do any excursions, we just explored the area on our own with the family. Beautiful area by the port to explore and try the local cuisine. I thought it was lovely that we were able to stay late into the night to explore some of the night life of San Juan.

I have not been in Old San Juan since 1980. This port was so nice. Several stores were closed because it was Monday, however, the places we went to were great. I recommend shopping in the Haitian Gallery - fabulous handmade items. We also ate in a local diner - Manolin - an adorable little diner. We sat at the counter - the food and service were great and the price was so reasonable.

San Juan was awesome and it's one of my new favorite places I've been on a cruise. We wandered around on our own and went to the fort right in town, lots of little stores with locally-made goods, a coffee shop that was recommended to me (SO good!), a little restaurant recommended to us by a local shop owner, and the street with the umbrellas on it. Old San Juan is so colorful and easily walkable, I want to come back here for a full land vacation.

We did not book an excursion but instead roamed the streets of beautiful San Juan by ourselves! We were so happy that we made that decision. We took our time and was not rushed through all of San Juan and it’s beauty because there is SO much to take in and see! The fort, the beautiful streets and shopping, and the views from every angle of the city were phenomenal!! We will be going back for sure!

The walking tour of the Old city is great and should be done by everyone who is a first time visitor to San Juan. It takes two hours and gives you a lot of history and sight seeing at the street level.

El Moro was not open as advertised. The streets are dirty. There is little to do.
