Even though we were not here long, we booked a beach day at one of the Marriott resorts and had the time of our lives!
This is another port we have been to multiple times before. We spent a few hours walking around Old San Juan. We used this stop to pick up souvenirs and to get a few things at the Walgreens across the street from the downtown pier. This is all we planned to do and we were satisfied. One experience you should not miss is the sail away. Cruise ships go by the Castillo San Critobal as they leave at the end of the day. Often it is around sunset. The views are spectacular and the scenery is something you will never forget.
Great tour of island for 30 dollar's by a local guide
We stayed an extra day here and were glad we did. Lots of food sampling and wandering in the Old Town.
Loved the city and wish we had more time to explore. We arrived in the evening and didn't really get to venture much.
I didn’t particularly like this port of call because of gypsy’s trying off load the trinkets. I had someone walk up to me on the sidewalk in a space suit and ask me if I would like to take a picture. Once I snapped the pictures he ask me for a donation. I’ve never had that type of experience before. It was extremely disheartening and I hope no one else has to deal with type of begging and replied my being asked to buy something from them.
Our tour guide was very knowledgeable of the sites visited.
Do not like arriving at 5:30pm and dark within an hour (during winter months). With that, we did not do much but walk around Old San Juan shopping, had a Pina Colada at the bar of it's birthplace, and dinner at another restaurant.
