A: [1]Taxis in Nassau are safe and reliable; make sure that you use a licensed taxi. Taxi prices are regulated by the government, so if you have any doubts about the cost of your journey, it's worth checking the set rates.

A: Yes. there's a small spot on Junkanoo beach called the blue zone. I used them last year. Google them and you can make an appt. I suggest wearing a swim suit as it's not really private
Answered by cookiedup on May 3, 2023

A: We had to walk. not sure if there were any golf carts running.
Answered by CruiseCat13 on April 9, 2023
A: There are three long piers parallel to the shore with the port provides shuttles that will take you to the Terminal Building and back to your ship.
Answered by esrescuer on April 10, 2023
A: We had to walk. They did have carts to get back to the ship, but they were only for those with disabilities. This was March 2023. I'm hoping they add options in the future, like Cozumel has. There were several ships in port the day we were there and... it was quite a walk.See More

A: We had to walk. This was in January 2023
Answered by Beachcrazy on April 10, 2023
A: In the recent past carts were for those with walking issues. The new port area does cut down on the walking and there are benches and shade which has helped me greatly. I would ask the cruise line what they offer.

Q: How far is The Atlantis from the port? We want to get a day pass to swim, shop and enjoy Atlantis? If the distance isn't to far, how much is the ride there?

A: You need to book the day pass through Atlantisbahamas.com before arriving, same day passes have been suspended. They only have the Aquaventure level pass as the base level one now. Transport by land taxi is available, but these are shared cabs so tim... e all depends on how fast the driver fills the seats, actual drive time is 15-25 minutes.See More

A: iirc, you can take taxi or tour boat, both will be lined up and making themselves known to cruisers. Either should be less than $10pp and less than 20 minutes each way, depending on bridge traffic. Just a couple of blocks to walk to the resort from... the ferry.See More

A: I was looking at this until I added 4 tickets to the cart for 2 adults and 2 children coming to $750 for the day passes and our ship doesn’t arrive until 12:30 so off the ship and taxi looking at 4 hours since they close at 5:30/6 not worth it.
Answered by TNTGreen on April 3, 2023
A: We took a taxi from the port to Atlantis just to walk around. We did not buy any passes. The taxi ride cost us $17 (if another couple goes, you split the fare) and took maybe 10 minutes or so. It wasn't far. You can actually see it from your Ship!
Answered by JigsawJeeper on April 3, 2023
A: We purchased them yesterday, even though we don't cruise in 3 months and 29 days lol but it was $200 per adult and $175 for children
Answered by 1FlyRN on April 1, 2023
A: I didn't think it was really outrageous. On occasion, we have gone back to the Ship and eat for free if nothing called to us.
Answered by JigsawJeeper on March 31, 2023
A: People say the food on the cruise ship is free. It actually isn't because it's included in your cruise fare which people don't realize, so nothing is actually free
Answered by enjoyurdaysmile on April 1, 2023
A: All depends on where you go but look at it maybe being $50 to $100 per two people.

A: Take Powerboat Adventures to Exuma. Not sure if there’s an excursion from a ship for it but they’re one of the more reputable companies in the Nassau area
Answered by tsykes92 on March 9, 2023
A: Look up excursions in the Exumas for swimming with the pigs. They have some day tours that will get you from Nassau.
Answered by TandC86 on March 9, 2023
A: The swim with pigs option is not always available. Since these are farm raised pigs, there is a certain lapse in the birth, train, swim with tourist, send to breed cycle. The famous wild swimming pigs are out by the Exumas island in the Bahamas.

Q: “Dolphin Encounter & Exclusive Island” excursion on the Shipmate app, has anyone done this recently? The description doesn’t say how you get there from the port(taxi/shuttle/walking distance) or where the dolphin encounter takes place (ex. Blue lagoon/Atlantis/pearl island, etc.) I just need more info before I book for our group and the last review is from 2 years ago. Thanks!

A: Do you want pristine or close to the cruise port, because you won't get both. The closer you are to the port, the more crowded the beach. You're better off booking a resort day pass.
Answered by ColeenTangerine on February 13, 2023

A: Paradise Island is connected to New Providence Island by a bridge. Cabbage Beach is one of about a half dozen public access beaches on that island, and it can be as packed as Junkanoo Beach is. For a less crowded with calmer water beach, ask the taxi... driver to take you to Cable Beach.See More

Answered by BGator on January 21, 2023

Answered by Willomar on January 17, 2023
A: We usually just walk around and hit Pirate Republic Brewing and the straw market and then find something to eat. By that time it is usually time to board
Answered by CaptnBlackbeard on January 19, 2023
A: Cabbage Beach is a great place to sunbath and get cheapish rum drinks, but can have a wicked undertow while swimming. Have yet to have been to Baha Mar since the resort went in, but have been in that area when it was not a private area beach and sort... of part of Cable Beach it was ok.Would have to see exactly what the resort includes w/ their day pass.See More
