OMG! I have an upcoming cruise with MSC Meraviglia  on February, now I’m very worried of deception and chaos if anything happens. My uncle is 89 years old first cruise will be devastating. I hope our trip will be okay and not as stressful as these college students and the mother and daughter trips.

Just outside of the port gates, you can rent a taxi or tour van for an island tour. Or you can go to the free beach

there is a pirate museum within walking distance from the Port. it was fun and cheap

Pirate museum is fun. There's a working run distillery nearby too. Think we were eight adults and eight kids who enjoyed the tour. Kids can run around and see chickens and other things while adults sample rum.There's also junkanoo beach, which is about a 15 minute walk.
