Went on a Mega Truck 10 Best Places and Lunch great time

Absolutely wonderful. The waterfall Monkeyland excursion was absolutely wonderful. The rock slides and the guide were great. Monkeyland was so special and sweet.

There was no excursion that was interesting or would work for someone with mobility issues. The port area was uninteresting. The shops all the same, except for the high pressure sales tactic jewelry stores we avoiddd like the plague.

Not this time just walked around

Puerto Plata is beautiful. I would suggest doing some sort of excursion at this port. You will miss out on getting to see the island if you just stay at the port at the shops and Margaritaville. My husband and I did the Mega Truck tour with lunch. The tour covered lots of ground in 5.5 hours. It took us to the center part of the city, the beach and up through the mountains. Such a beautiful island. The poverty however is sad. Our guide Alex brought lollipops and school supplies to give to the children in the mountains. Normally you would visit a school on this tour but this time of year they are only in school half days. If you decide to do this tour bring school supplies such as pens/pencils and candy to give to the children.

Port pool was perfect . Lots of chairs ! Was there early as most people went on excursions . Got busier later in day . The umbrella was worth the 20 charge ! Service was very good . Run by same company as last port but food was not as good . A lot of shopping and the stores were empty ,

We did the Puerto Plata Highlights and Golden Beach. We've NEVER toured in a shiny, bright red bus with tropical curtains in the windows! And what a deLIGHTful, welcoming crew - so full of joy ... and pride in their country and town! The tour was good, but a real highlight was Golden Beach - covered with multiple BEACH BEDS (you read that correctly) and plenty of lounge chairs (in both shade and sun) and umbrellas for everyone! There was a nice open-air restaurant for lunch and beverages, with service out to the beach if we wished! Karaoke and rum punch on the way back underscored the fun!

I fell in LOVE with the Dominican Republic. Went horseback riding on the beach and it was stunning. I've always wanted to do that and Im considering booking the same excursion next time I go

Wonderful as always! We zip lined in the port and chilled in the pools:) there were two very cool waterslides

We had an amazing time here, we waited to choose all our excursions until we got to port it was cheaper. Since we never been here we did a tour instead of the pool! And I would highly recommend Pedro he was awesome we did the pueto plata sightseeing &beach excursions. After the tour we went to a beach for 2 hours and it Included two umbrellas two chairs, a welcome drink and you can order food well worth it!!!
