Amber Cove (Puerto Plata), Dominican Republic Port Reviews

Spent the day at the pool right inside the port. Very nice place. There are places to sit for free but you have to pay a small fee for umbrellas.

It was the best port ever. The water park immediately off the ship was perfect. No need for an excursion when the pool is right there.

Little too touristy!!

Did the Zip & Dip and it was Amazing. All the Excursion Staff was great also. Make sure to bring really good walking/water shoes, but it's not too strenuous for the average person. Highly Recommend!

Go outside the Carnival area and shops. Enjoy the local area. Beautiful. Did an ATV excursion with an outside company. Was a blast and really enjoyed tbe scenery

My daughter got off and did an excursion. She stated that she had a great time, but someone stole her money and driver license. So please be very careful.

Gorgeous port. It has a free pool and water slides. We paid a taxi driver at port to take us into town. The souvenirs are cheaper at port than in town.

Did not go ashore, I wanted to enjoy the ship with no crowds.

Love the look of this port with the mountains all around you. Took an excursion up the highest peak which was beautiful. Then went to Puerto Plata which was ok.
