I've visited here on several occasions and this was the 1st time that I got harrassed by the islanders offering to sale me weed. I don't smoke at all and no matter how I said,"No!" ....they kept coming. Made my shopping at Harley Davidson awkward and I went back to boat early.

The port was okay but I did not like the town. Too crowded and had civilians trying sell us illegal contraband. I would not go back to Jamaica.

There's a little shopping center right when you get off the ship but nothing within walking distance past that so you have to get a taxi to do anything. We took a taxi (bus) to Doctor's Cave Beach. The beach was awesome but became crowded fairly quickly. The beach was only a couple of miles from the port but it took about 10 minutes to get there. The price for the taxi (in my opinion) was outrageous. We've been to lots of other islands and was never charged $28 (for 4 ppl) one way. We ended up spending $56 just to get to and from Doctor's Cave Beach. Admission to the beach is $6 for adults and $3 for children. You have to pay extra to rent chairs and snorkeling equipment. Beautiful island but I feel like they overcharge--I would book a shore excursion if we went again.
