This port was very nice actually . We had heard bad things about Jamaica but we really didn't have any issues . We did an excersion through carnival and it was very fun just a little short for the amount of money we paid .

Did not do excursion and the shops were horrible. If you didn't do an excursion there was nothing to do at this port

I would never bring my family on a cruise that stops here again. We went on the Dream in December 2017. We were also told not to venture out of town and to be aware of our surroundings. Police are abundant with vests and assault rifles in town. Also while we were there, there was another ship, I believe Royal Caribbean, that had a passenger robbed and shot. We never heard the outcome. I'm not by any means trying to scare anybody from going, but you best be aware of what's going on. Also be prepared to be asked numerous times to buy weed. We definitely didn't feel safe here.

Jamaica is amazingly beautiful and still relatively "uncommercialized"... We had an amazing Taxi driver who took us all over the area for 5 hours for $150 (for 7 of us plus a toddler) The area is beautiful, the people we met were all so friendly and hospitable. Beautiful scenery. Shopping was affordable and sales people weren't pushy. We fell in love w Montego Bay and can't wait to return!

Terrible! Do not get off the ship at this port! The taxi people(sherry berry) was pushy and I felt threatened and unsafe. They kept pushing everyone on the shuttle to take their all day island tour. The taxi people at the port said they was taking everyone downtown to go shopping and that is where the beach was also located. Once we got on the shuttle bus they started their sales pitch of riding with them on a island tour all day. Then told us if we got off downtown then they couldn't guarantee us on when we would come back to the ship or our safety. They took us to a small hole in the wall store that had double the price on every souvenir that they sold at the port and gave us a sticker to wear to get 50% off. Wow! what a bargain, I got to pay 14.00 per person to pay the same amount for something I could of bought at the ship port. Bad time at this port. Hope to never go back to Jamaica and will warn everyone I see how threatened and unsafe I felt on my shuttle bus ride there. Very dirty looking place.

This was my son's favorite port! Beautiful and the people are kind and happy. They will push for tips in the shops, but they get most of their revenue from tourism.

Arrival to port has some beautiful views. Water is gorgeous. We had the all inclusive at Sandals Sunscape Splash. It's about 5 minutes away by van. You have choice of three properties. Beach was okay but there was a lot of sea weed just off shore. Not quite sure what it was but I was allergic to it. Water park is small but the lazy river was relaxing.
