Q: Need to know for several ports. What are cabs like on this island. True taxi cabs like on Cozumel, or more like many buses on set routes like in Cayman? (Don't want to end up in some far off beach with no way back) I'm assuming there is no Uber or Lyft. And, do they operate into the evening hours?

A: Aruba has a free downtown tram loop that has a stop at the Port. Otherwise, there's cheap bus tickets to go all over the small island. There's a stand near the port with all the bus info.

A: That has got to be some stressful planning. As much as you get around I'm sure you will do fine. Have safe travels

A: We went up near the lighthouse to find an out of the way beach. A cab cost something like $40 but the local bus cost us about $1.50/pp. You can buy an unlimited daily bus pass. At the time it was about $10/pp per day.

A: yup buses here. but you are never really far away, it's a very small island 😉😂

A: Wow Jallaway Panama Canal. Good for you! We are getting ready to make a tough choice between 2 booked. One is Panama. I hope you enjoy it.

A: Thanks Mary. This one is a bucket list cruise, and unusual as well. Fly into Panama City to depart and then finish in Colon after the transit and five Caribbean ports

Q: Is there a free beach available or do i have to book something. We are kind of loners and we like to have some privacy so being in excursion groups does not work for us. any tips anyone may have will be greatly appreciated! 😁

A: We hopped on a public bus and went to Eagle Beach (January 2020). The best I can remember the beach was free but you paid if you wanted chairs. It was very nice.

A: Eagle beach is about a 15 minute walk.

A: We rented an open top Jeep and had a blast! We drove down to Baby Beach, Eagle Beach, and Arashi Beach. It allowed us to take our time and not feel rushed. Have fun!!!

A: We walked from the cruise port to Surfside Beach (about 30 mins but there’s lots to see on the way). The beach is free. We paid to rent some lounge chairs and there’s a nice restaurant right on the beach. It wasn’t busy at all and it’s right near the... airport so it was fun watching all the planes come in (not as good as Maho Beach for planes but still fun).See More

A: Eagle Beach. You can catch a ride there for cheap. The vendors have chairs and umbrellas to use but they were pretty spendy. I can’t remember but it was either $50 or $75 for two chairs and umbrella. Public beach so there isn’t a good place to change... there so wear your suits.See More

A: We booked it through Royal Caribbean. Our driver to the island was very personable and gave us a great history of Aruba. It was an OK day once we were there. It was very crowded and the food and drinks were just OK. Many of the staff we encounter... ed were very personable and worked hard while some just seemed like they didn’t want to be there.See More

A: We booked it through the ship. It was a little crowded but at the time (which was several years ago) we found a quiet little lagoon where my husband and I spent most of the day with a couple of beach loungers. We also got a cheeseburger in paradise... from the vendor there and they also had snorkel equipment available.See More

A: Eagle beach is very nice (as is palm beach a little further up). Quiet. A nice place just to relax. Depalm has more to do (snorkeling, stuff for kids.). But you are on an island, so can’t really walk far.

Q: Anyone know about ATV excursions in Aruba? Says unavailable for any and all cruise dates. Wonder if you can just find someplace on the island instead of booking ahead. Kind of a deal breaker for us. Thanks.
