We rented 4 wheelers and went around the whole island. it is very different on the other side. we stopped a couple of times to swim and snorkel on the beach side. Download maps but basically you can follow the main road and then the trains on the desert side. Can do island in one day.

We rented a golf cart and drove around the city. Yes, you can drive the carts on normal roads. Donkey sanctuary was a highlight. A car rental would be better but was sold out and id rent the cart again if we couldn’t get a car or UTV.

We liked seeing the Casibari Rock Formations. It might be included on a “Best of” tour. Also, on a stop when we arrived after 2pm, my husband and I walked from the cruise port to a nice beach that’s close to the airport, Surfside Beach. It was a nice leisurely walk, beautiful scenery, plus you can watch airplanes landing!

We rented a car and drove around and saw the island. We went to the beach, donkey sanctuary, and Saint Nicolas. St.Nicolas has the pretty murals. It’s very easy to drive around there. Just be sure to download the map for driving. The rental car place met us right outside the pier gate.
