We have come to this island quite a bit and love it. It's quiet, friendly and the people are awesome! We love heading down to Port Lucya or Banana Bay for the beach. Port Lucya has the straw market and shops as well as good restaurants with yummy conch fritters! You can also do the excursions for dolphin dives through Unexso and those are fun too.

This was a very industrialized port. We did the dolphin close encounter and loved it!! This was our highlight of the whole trip. There was much time here at the port so after the excursion we only had a half hour before we had to board the boat again. Book an excursion if you go here since there is no beaches right off the boat. A Taxi will be needed to get to the beaches.

Absolutely nothing to do there. Locals are rude, it’s super expensive. We paid to go to a beach that was about 25 minutes away Taino Beach and pirate cove that you have to pay $5.75 per person to get in that was fine and rented 2 chairs with and umbrella for $17.00. They never gave us the umbral because it was too windy unless you paid for a more expensive tables they would give you one. was promised paddle boarding, water sports, canoes and couldn’t do any of it because they closed all activities due to wind. It wasn’t even that windy! Everyone from the cab drivers to the people on the beach were super rude. Drinks are super expensive. If you are on a cruise with this Port I suggest you stay on the ship and enjoy everything there. My opinion!

This island is really run down and depressing to look at. The port was pretty pathetic and shops were small and everything was cheaply made. However we loved our excursion to paradise cove. Would 1000% do this excursion again. We swam and snorkeled with sea turtles.
