Can't think of the name of the beach we went to but it was all you can drink and all you can eat and it was really a good time wish we could have stayed a little longer

We went to Junkanoo Beach. It was beautiful and very affordable. I’ll go back in July.

We only went to the shops right by the ship, but everything was clean & well-spaced. We didn't do any excursions here either.

Not much to do here. Van system to take you to the beach that the locals recommend. It’s about a 20 min ride. You have to pay to get on the beach but WiFi is included in that. Make sure you bring change because they tend to run out. You have to pay to use beach chairs as well and umbrellas. The day we went was a little cool and windy so the water wasn’t as calm as I like it and I didn’t bother getting in past my knees. They do have a bar from drinks and a hut for food. I didn’t purchase any alcohol because it was more than I was willing to pay especially since I had the drink package on the ship. I did however try the conch fritters as we were leaving and you got 6 pieces for $3. It was pretty tasty. I do recommend leaving the beach before the last call because you will be waiting in line for transport back and it can get kind of chaotic. The shops right at the port had some cool stuff but I only purchased a couple jewelry pieces for a good price. Everything else was a little high but I’m sure you can negotiate

DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME AT PIRATES COVE!! They’re called pirates for a reason. There is a better beach with covered seating for free right down the road. Ask the taxi driver for the public beach. Pirates cove charged us to enter, but that gives you access to only public seating and it’s no where near the beach and no cover and very few seats. You have to buy a chair but they only cater to people who bought through the ship and will not even give you an option to purchase a seat if you did not book through the ship. The beach had broken glass everywhere so you couldn’t go barefoot and sand fleas everywhere. It started pouring rain so we tried to stand under an umbrella and the guy came and said we had to get out from under the umbrella unless we paid $28 per person! We said “we tried to buy one, y’all wouldn’t let us!” he said chairs are only for people who buy through the ship but if you stand here you have to pay $28! We typically spend a lot on every island taking in the local cuisine and drinks, massages, souvenirs, and anything else that helps support these local economies, but after this, we maid it a point not to spend another dime at this place! We talked to a couple who left and went down the road to the public beach. They said It had better seating, better beaches, and were cleaner with no glass broken on the beach! There were venders there that were still expensive but very generous. Probably will never come back to Freeport but if we do, we’ll know to stay way away from Pirates Cove!!

Not much to do here, the straw market has nothing but junk cheap souvenirs.

If you are not going on an excursion, this is not a very fun port. I managed to go into all the shops in a short amount of time and just got back on the ship. This ship is awesome while at this port because a lot of other guests are on excursions and it is very quiet.
