Overall we enjoyed Coco Cay. Food was just ok. They had several food stations at the buffet with the same food options. So if the lines are long just go to another station.Drinks made up for the food though. The beach was fun, but the water wasn’t as clear as I was hoping it would be.

Unfortunately, this was cancelled for us due to heavy winds. I can't argue, it was so windy they closed the ship pools for a while due to waves. Still disappointed.

Pretty. Nice lunch. Plenty of chairs. Watch out for jellyfish. DO NOT WAIT until the day of coco cay to get tender tickets. I missed the info about getting them 2 days before arrival and our beach day had almost 2 hours cut off because we got later tender to the island.

Fantastic port. Comparable to the private island at Haiti if you've been there. Rented a premium cabana and had an amazing lunch. Take some water and explore the island on the nature trail. Iguanas and wildlife a plenty. Make sure you don't touch the trees! They have a highly toxic tree that causes blisters and aggressive skin issues. They don't tell you about this - just a roped off tree and a sign on the trail.

This review is really for the cabanas.. so awesome! Totally recommend. Mind you we paid about $150, I think there was a price increase since. The area has everything you want, plus it's more quiet because there are less people there. Got a tram ride right there and bak. Cabana included two comfy cushiony chairs out in the sun and an L-shaped sofa with table inside, this was perfect because some of our group really prefers the shade. You could close the curtains on all sides. Also included was four large cold bottles of Evian water and two floating mats. You can get towels here instead of having to carry them from the ship. Bar and restroom right there plus a few roaming servers. Small lunch menu that you actually filled out your choices for the day before, we got multiple of a lot of items. They delivered to our cabana a little bit late, but it was still fine. I love not having to walk and waste beach time to go to the typical Buffet BBQ so this was nice for a change. The food wasn't mind-blowing but it worked. Cabanas were also close to the new floating bar. The only negative is that the sand is very slimy in this area and there's a lot of seaweed growing in the shallow waters. Oh we also had a small shark and a stingray swim by!! Will post some pics in my profile.

My wife and I have done 4 (3-Day Bahamas Cruises) out of Miami. This is definitely my favorite place to go. Coco Cay is Royals private island and extremely peaceful, beautiful water, tropical fish everywhere. Unfortunately of the 4 times we cruised on the weekend cruises only 1 time were we able to actually tender off the ship to enjoy Cococay, due to weather and rough water. Buttt that 1 time was amazing. Since we last cruised that way they have been doing major renovations for the “Perfect Day Theme of the Island”. The island is completely revamped with all kinds of new fun! I can’t wait to check it out in December hopefully of this year. I believe they were building a dock as well there so you would no longer have to tender in.

We enjoyed the Beach Loungers for two which included two chairs and a clam shaped cover, ice chest with water, fruit tray, and two floating mats (loved these!)
