No excursion necessary here unless you have trouble walking. Part of the city is up on a hill, but is accessible via steps (!) or. 4$ ride in the ‘Funicular’ -which is well worth the money and the awesome view through the glass-sided ‘elevator.’ While French is the primary language here, you merely need to smile and respond, ‘Bonjour-Hello’ to anyone who greets you in French, and they will flip into English 95% of the time. You can’t leave Quebec City without a gift of a can of Maple syrup for everyone back home!!!! Yum!

There was a shuttle bus from the port to old town. There you can walk into the walled old town city and go in some building that were built in the late 1700's. The Churches are great. Stop in to see the Fairmont hotel.

very lovely--the "stroll" excursion was very strenuous for my 72 year old mother who had a hard time with a 2 hour walk with no breaks before a mediocre tea service

Quebec City is lovely. We rented bicycles and rode out to the falls. The bike path is well marked and quite flat. It was a blast!

Was surprised by Quebec City. The history and Old Town were amazing. Did a bus tour and seen lots. Tour guide was informative. Tried my limited French and they were pleasant. Everyone did speak English at least in the port area.

We walked to old downtown. And enjoyed the old town feel. We were there on a Sunday and nothing opened until 9. We also took a taxi out to Montmorency falls. Worth it! Be prepared to take a long time to get a taxi ride home. We gave ourselves extra time.

Quebec is beautiful. Lots to just walk and see so there is no reason to book an expensive excursion if you haven’t already been to walk the old city.

Grab a map and do the walking tour! Beautiful architecture and history.
