If you stay near the port nearly everything shuts down by 6PM which I found surprising. Restaurants and pubs are very expensive. If you're looking to shop, take bus or ferry to Hamilton. Snorkel Park is good place to visit; see some reefs without having to go far from shore.

A must see are the South Shore beaches. Stunning blue & torquoise waters, soft, pink spotted beaches. Buy a bus/ferry pass to get around the island. Hamilton has a lot of shopping areas. Clocktower Mall in the Dockyard. Snorkle Park also in the back area of the Dockyard with outdoor bar and small beach area.
