Vancouver (Canada Place), British Columbia Port Q&A

4.4
We’ll be driving from Washington State to Vancouver BC for our Alaskan cruise next summer and plan to arrive the day before. Are there hotels close to Canada Place that will allow cruise parking and shuttle us to the pier? I can’t walk very far all at once so mobility is an issue. I’ve been told about Pan Pacific but it’s too expensive for us. Any moderately priced hotels in the area or would it be better to stay somewhere just past the border then drive to the port and park there in the morning? TIA

@spnyder, did you look at long term parking at the airport?

The Pan Pacific at the terminal had a package but they were not cheap. There were a few near the train station/stadium like Hampton Inn that were more reasonable, but that was before COVID. Have you tried Park Sleep Hotels or Park Sleep Fly?

Even if you use Skytrain, you still have to walk to the port, about a block or two. Pan Pacific hotel makes most sense as it’s right at Canada Place. You are downtown in a large city, no hotels have shuttles to the port. Just take a taxi or Uber.

The Auberge Vancouver is 1 block from the cruise port, a bellhop can take your luggage over for you. They have parking for $45 cad /day.

The most reasonable hotel I found was a Days Inn near Canada place. It is clean and the staff is good. However, the elevator is tiny and window looked out on a concrete wall. Avoid rooms next to ice machine (end in 15) as it is very noisy. I took a Lyft to the pier.

If you plan to park at the port you should make reservations ahead of time. I have a reservation. It was about $1000 Canadian dollars which translated to over$700 US dollars. I looked into park and cruise options and I think they are limited to 14 days. I'm on a 17 day cruise.
