Took the Alaska railroad to get here. Skip the bus. Take the train. Splurge for the dome car.

We didn't do an excursion but it is a quaint little town. They have an animal hospital /learning center that we passed on our way out of town. Had we not been on a bus I would have loved to stop there.

We concluded out cruise in Seward and found it to be a beautiful city with friendly people. While there we did an all day boat tour to the glaciers in the area. We saw many whales, orcas, porpoises, seals, puffins, etc. We hope to return to this beautiful place some day.
Excursion; booked a boattrip with seward ocean excursions. Was verry good. Also booked the evening train to Anchorage (gold star class). Best trainride ever; saw 4 moose, salmon, eagles,...Food on the train was also verry good.

Yes. 8 hour Kenai Peninsula with airport transport. Long day. Alaska marine museum seemed like an add on. Ship was cold due to other travelers exiting and entering the cabin. Food and staff were good.
