Juneau was very beautiful. The city is more of a modern type city. The weather was cold and it was drizzly all day but it was tolerable. We went to see the water pond with the artificial whale spouting out water. The ski lift tram looks inviting but the fear of heights told me not to try it. The souvenir shops were more reasonably priced than the other ports. I would love to reside in Alaska but anything below 72 degrees is freezing cold to me so it wouldn’t really work out. I absolutely loved Alaska ! :)

On one of our excursions with Princess, we saw many orcas, humpback whales, and sea lions. It was wonderful. The gift shops had a lot of good merchandise too.

Mendenhall Glacier canoe trip with trekking on the glacier is awesome! We saw it calve! Also, I learned the spruce tips are a hung- they are high in vitamin C. Alaska Brewing Company makes a beer out of it! Pretty tasty!

This is the best port for shipping items back home. Post office is friendly and has the supplies you need to send things home. Don't wait for Skagway to ship there post office sucks. First T-shirt company you come to off the port is the cheapest.

One is struck by the number of tourist shops on the main street. Jewellery is also a big thing in most Alaskan ports. You will likely find a coupon book somewhere along the way. Some businesses offer free mementoes just for dropping in. Juneau"s port has had to be expanded to accommodate larger ships. If there is no shuttle from the new dock when you land, there is a walk of a few minutes into town.k

If you book a whale watch excursion outside of RCCI, this one is splendid! Capt. Larry knows his stuff. We saw at least 15 whales, a few came fairly close to us. https://www.facebook.com/OrcaEnterprises/ https://www.tripadvisor.com/Attraction_Review-g31020-d660845-Reviews-Orca_Enterprises-Juneau_Alaska.html
