The port was easy to navigate and clean. We had a long day here 7am to 9:30pm so we chose an independent excursion with Adventure Bound. This was certainly an awesome experience. We would definitely do it again👍🏻👍🏻

Our excursion took all of our time, so we didn't get to see the town. Did go out to the glacier which was great, and went whale watching. We got to see a group of humpback whales do a bubble feed!

We did the helicopter tour to Mendenhall glacier. It was awesome! The pilot was very friendly and pointed out things for us to look at (mountain goats, etc). Being on the glacier was unreal. It was so beautiful. Drinking the water was cool, too. It was amazing! We had lunch at the Red Dog Saloon. They make their own root beer that is really good. The food was pretty good, too. My son didn't like the seasoning they used on the hamburger but the fish was really good. Our waitress was super nice, too. We walked around to shop near the port, too. There is quite a bit of shopping right near the ship.

WhaleQuest with Mendenhall Glacier is a must do. We saw whales, sea lions and dolphins. At the glacier we saw bears and porcupines and salmon in the rivers.

Whale watching and Glacier visit are GREAT! Both are child friendly and a nice amount of time that allows you to walk around the city a little bit, get a meal off the ship.

Very nice. Did the excursion with the Salmon hatchery/Mendenhall glacier and salmon bake. Beautiful scenery, great food and fun/ interesting to see the salmon hatchery.
