a higlight of the trip. Whale watch, city tour in trolly, ride up the mountain and mendenhall glacier. Definitely take the trek to the waterfall, it is highly worth it!

you can take local bus $5 one hour to mendenhall glacier and stay longer. walk to waterfall you can rent bike and peddle out about 15 miles one way.

We didn't plan an excursion for this port, so we just walked around and shopped. It is a quaint little town and we enjoyed just spending our time on the main strip through town. There was a complementary shuttle from our port to the main part of town.

Whale watching is a hit or miss excursion. We saw whales but from a distance, ie blowing water, a flip of a tail or back. None that breached the water.

We did a whale watching tour, not through cruise line. Cheaper with Skagway Tours. You can book online of through Trip Advisors

Juneau was also very pretty, we did not do an excursion here, not in port long enough. they should allow more time at this port so you can enjoy it.

Excellent. Take a helicopter to the Sled dogs at Mendenhall Glacier. Great experience!
