November 2015 - Eurodam to Caribbean
Overall food was good but overall good was bland and unseasoned. Presumably because they cater to old people that commonly have conditions that must limit sodium. Very commonly they run out of items both for the mean session and for the entire cruise. For example they ran out of white rolls on day 4 of 7 and only had while grain for the remainder of the trip. Room service was excellent for a cruise ship.
Some Crew are outstanding. In our case, once the wine stewards realized that we were spending money onboard they were fantastic. Room Stewards were good. Others, like buffet and dining room waitstaff are disinterested in helping. On most cruise ships you are constantly bothered asking if you want a drink, etc. it's nearly impossible to get wait staff drink service in pool area for drinks or to clear finished food/drinks.
Very little to do aboard ship. Very few activities or "fun" things to do, especially for families and children. Ship and program is designed for very old people. Very little live music in any ship venues. Most public areas, including the premium pay restaurants and pool area are completely devoid of music, even background music!!!
Very few fun things to do the the schedule. Common areas of ship are a ghost town by 9 pm. Only had a performance show in the theatre 2 of the 7 nights. Overall boring.
Becoming dated. Overall flow of ship is strange. Many public areas are tucked away small and hard to find making them underutilized. No grand atrium Like most modern cruise ships.
