Regal Princess
Sail date: November 09, 2014
Ship is Beautiful. Food was just ok. Service in some places was amazing and in others .... just ok. Night life was a dud. Shows were amazing. Overall this ship was just ok which was disappointing. Princess has a great ship but needs to work on several things before this experience can be a WOW factor in the cruise industry.
Disney Magic
Sail date: February 28, 2014
Recently refurbished the Magic is amazing. The shows are AMAZING and I loved them so much! Service is out of this world and the adults only areas are great! Disney's private island is hands down the best private island of all cruise lines. Ship is clean and the layout is great! Love, love this ship. Would take many more on this ship!!
Castaway Cay (Disney Private Island)
Serenity Bay is amazing! Kudos to disney for creating a space that is calm and relaxing for adults only!
Disney Dream
Great for the whole family. Make sure if you have little ones that want to meet the Princesses that you get a ticket on the first day at the port adventures desk. this ensures that you get the best time and are able to get through the greeting time when it is convenient for you.
Princess Cays (Cruise Line Private Island)
LONG lines to get food on the island. Should have been thought through before closing stations with a long line waiting.
Regal Princess
Restaurants could have been planned better. It can be a maze to get to some of these. You have to go up one floor walk to the back then go down one floor. Layout could have been done just a bit better.
Disney is known for doing everything with excellence. I didn't recommend this one high for one reason alone ... I do not recommend a 3 night cruise for anyone with a large family. Disney did an amazing job as always and the cruise was great. There were just too many things to do in too tight space and it was overwhelming for the kids and the parents trying to keep up with them and keep them from getting trampled.
The ship is beautiful and there really is something for everyone on this ship. If you travel without kids, Disney is still an amazing experience and a 3 night cruise would be a GREAT getaway for a couple with no kids. There are many areas on the ship and the private Island for adults only.
Overall this was amazing.... just tough on larger families. This is not the cruise lines fault. If you are sailing with a larger family ... go for more nights :)
